Our mission:
WAVI works to create a community free of domestic violence and sexual abuse through advocacy, education, and support services.
Working Against Violence, Inc. (WAVI) is committed to providing vital services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking.
Our services include a safe shelter, a 24/7 crisis phone line, access to community resources, food, transportation, and support for all genders and ages.
WAVI services are free.
Shelter Services
We offer many types of services to assist victims of domestic violence, including emergency services, referrals and information, safety planning, and education.
Community Resources
WAVI has created a list of Black Hills community resources that assist survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Volunteer
Help ensure that our fight against domestic violence continues. You can make a difference by volunteering in a variety of ways.
Youth Initiatives
WAVI empowers youth in the creation of youth-led initiatives and stands alongside them through their work providing logistical, educational, and emotional support.
Support Survivors
In 2024, WAVI provided over 31,787 resources and services through comprehensive case management, to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and intimate partner stalking.
